If you’re considering mitochondrial donation/donor eggs, then, for example, one of the clinics in Kiev offers different packages (found this on fb):4900 EUR – 1 att of donation. 6500 EUR – 1 att with mitochondrial replacement.6900 EUR – 2 att of donation.9900 EUR – 2 att with mitochondrial donation
11900 EUR – 5 att of donation. 14900 EUR – 5 att with mitochondrial donation.
VIP package is 64900 EUR. The waiting time for the 1st att at a VIP package is 4 months, and at a Standard package – up to 1 year.

Sounds good if you are young and have time to think about your diet. I’m afraid it isn’t going to work out for elder people. How to face this problem?

I’ve heard about mitochondrial donation, but for reproductive purposes. I think it might help

Mitochondrial donation is known to be effective for 40+ women, who aren’t willing to conceive through ivf with donor egg. It is also designated for patients who have faced numerous IVF failures. Mitochondrial disfunction can lead to multiple failed IVF cycles. That’s why taking them from the donor’s can be so beneficial. A mitochondrial donor in this case is not a genetic parent of a future baby as donated mitochondria account for less than one per cent of the baby’s DNA. A friend of mine who has MRKH type 2 is currently undergoing surrogacy & mitochondrial donation treatments in Ukraine. Am going to update as soon as possible. Good luck with your further research!

Maybe you know why did they choose Ukraine? I’ve heard that Greece is also good for mitochondrial treatment.

      • Avatar GG

Why did your friend choose Ukraine? Suppose that it is cheaper than here in the UK, but was it worth it?
