In today’s episode of The Plant Trainers Podcast we talk to Miyoko Schinner, vegan chef, cookbook author and television cooking show host. She has been promoting a vegan lifestyle for over 30 years. Her newly released cookbook, “Artisan Vegan Cheese” was voted top 5 vegan cookbooks for 2012. Miyoko teaches in the McDougall Program and at major festivals around the country. In fact, we had the privilege of watching Miyoko’s cooking demo at Healthfest in Marshall, Texas last week and we sampled her AMAZING vegan cheeses from Miyoko’s Kitchen.
Our intention was to talk vegan cooking with Miyoko, get some hacks for the pantry and about her Japanese heritage. We did get to all that, but we also heard so much about Miyoko’s connection with animals, how animals and humans differ in the way we eat and how we build community around food.
We hope you enjoy the show!
