In today’s episode of The Plant Trainers Podcast we are honoured to talk about how to prevent and reverse heart disease with Caldwell B. Esselstyn, Jr., M.D. Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn is known for being one of the founding fathers of the plant-based lifestyle and is the author of the book Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease. He is widely recognized for his role in the documentary film, Forks Over Knives. Twenty-three years ago, while chairman of the Cleveland Clinic’s Breast Cancer Task Force, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn wanted his peers to do more in the way of preventing heart disease as he found the research on plant-based diets to be extremely strong. He and his family adopted a plant-based lifestyle and he is responsible for so many others following suit with tremendous results. He is 82 years old and he is his wife, Ann are full of energy and spirit.

During our talk with Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn we cover a lot of the questions and uncertainties out there. So many people seem to hear the research, see others getting results, but just aren’t yet convinced that this is the time to hop on board. I enjoyed Adam’s and Shoshana’s questions to Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn and his answers as well. I do believe that becoming plant based can change someone’s life and allow an individual to perform better (as it was proven by Adam himself).

    Thank you!

I learned a lot from the conversation with Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn. It is amazing how a plant based diet could fully prevent any cardiovascular disease. Many people do not know the effects of the very foods they are putting in their bodies. I enjoyed the podcast very much and learned very interesting and important facts about nutrition and heart disease! Thank you Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn!
