How do you know the brand when you see someone wearing fancy jeans?  Are they Rock and Republic or Seven? A woman carrying a fancy purse…is it Gucci or Louis Vuitton?  A man wearing a cool watch…is it Rolex or Movado?
You know what it is because you read the label.

Why do many of us not read the label of the foods we eat?
We should know what’s going into our body…our temple!

Read your food nutrition labels carefully!

Are you eating non-fat foods and wondering why you’re still not as lean as you’d like to be?  Just because the food is fat-free or even low in fat, doesn’t mean it’s low in simple carbohydrates.  People think that since the food is low in fat, they can have double the amount!  Wrong!  This is a common misconception that many people have.  Food companies are replacing calories from fat with calories from simple carbohydrates.  Just because the food is fat-free doesn’t mean it’s calorie-free!

Remember as a rule of thumb: If you eat more calories than you burn, you will gain weight.

Read your food nutrition labels carefully!

Take care of your body…know what goes into your temple!
