What an insightful podcast this was! In this episode, I learned ways to eat healthier and improve my overall life. I try my best to substitute non-healthy food for a healthier alternative, although it can sometimes be difficult to do so. One change I found interesting that you spoke about was using vinegar and water is a great alternative to cleaning counters instead of using chemicals, as well as adding essential oils. Another interesting topic was alternatives for soft drinks or coffee. I love drinking tea and I also use a SodaStream instead of buying a factory made soda-drink. I also found it interesting how as an alternative to having that late-night snack is having home made pita chips or anything lightly salted to non-salted. I will definitely try these alternatives than just having potato chips. I learned that it’s better to have plant-based yogurts than dairy yogurts, which I tend to have as a snack often. A question I have for this is can you purchase plant-based yogurts at any grocery store, as well as other plant-based food? I also did not know that it’s very easy to only swap out an ingredient or two to make a dish healthier, like avocado or margarine. Thank you for all these healthy alternatives for my diet and I’ll look forward to testing them out!

Plant-based foods are readily available in health food stores and most grocery stores these days.

This podcast is really inspiring for me. I’ve tried many times to eat healthier foods but to no avail. Although not all these options are for me, some of them will be very helpful, like taking soft drinks out of my diet. I don’t need those extra sugars. Changing your diet is a tough thing to do, and I know that I need to find out what works for me. You taught me that if I don’t get the results I want, I have to change something, but I shouldn’t stop completely. Food swapping can be fun, and it makes food more fun. This process will take time but it will pay off in the long run. I will be healthier and happier! Thank you for opening my eyes!!!

It usually takes people 10-15 times of trying foods before they start to like them…so don’t give up! Enjoy the process!

This podcast really intrigued me since I am not used to eating the most healthiest of foods. This really opened my eyes and let me see certain possibilities and how I can start eating healthier gradually. You have taught me that there are simple switches (like oil for butter) when I originally thought it was super hard to find replacements. I definitely agree with discontinuing with soft drinks since they are extremely high in sugars and drinking water or smoothies are a good substitute and will help me in the long run. Thank you for teaching me about eating healthy, it is very motivating to hear and I am excited to try these different techniques.

Much appreciated! Small steps make big differences, swapping out processed foods and soft drinks is a great start.
